greg, that issue (red) was in 1994, and it was made as already some sort of “tribute” to the “days that were.” (the picture was a shot of the 1989 miting de avance)

which meant that by 1994, things were no longer as “exciting” as they used to be. well, at least, from 1989’s perspective. lalo na ngayon. from what i hear, and i hear little, things are so different now.

Yung nabanggit ni Joe Bert na things are so different now, I think back in 1996-1997, we may already have a prototype of the preceding era. People who run for AUSG post are in it for the kicks, for the fame and for the “training” for the raunchier, dirtier and more “professional” world of larger-scale politicking outside the university walls like barangay-, town-, city- or national-election. They became mini-me of politicians scheming projects that would only push through if their names (and often even their ghastly feces-err, faces) is largely emblazoned on the project in any way. There’s also the political bickering between running mates who won and took posts over exposures and attributions on these so-called pro-student projects. Pathetic f*ckers!
